Publication Rights & Licensing Policy

1. Introduction
This Publication Rights & Licensing Policy governs the terms under which Bookbins Private Limited ("Bookbins") acquires, manages, and exercises rights to publish, distribute, and promote literary works submitted by authors.
2. Rights Granted to Bookbins
By entering into a publishing agreement with Bookbins, authors grant:
• Non-exclusive or exclusive publishing rights (as specified in the agreement)
• Rights to distribute in physical and digital formats
• Rights to distribute in specified geographic territories (Indian / Global)
• Rights to translate or produce derivative works (only if explicitly agreed)
• Rights to use the work in promotional and marketing materials
4. Third-Party Licensing
Bookbins may sub-license rights to third-party distributors, retailers, and platforms for distribution purposes. All sub-licensing activities will be conducted in accordance with the terms of the publishing agreement and with the objective of maximizing the book's reach.
5. Duration of Rights
The duration of rights granted to Bookbins is specified in the individual publishing agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, rights are granted for an initial term of 2–5 years, with renewal options available upon mutual agreement.
6. Rights Reversion
Authors may request reversion of rights if:
• The book goes out of print and Bookbins fails to reprint within a specified period
• Bookbins fails to meet its obligations under the publishing agreement
• The agreed term expires and is not renewed
Reversion requests must be submitted in writing to publish@bookbins.in.
7. Royalties & Revenue Sharing
Royalty rates and revenue sharing terms are defined in individual publishing agreements. Bookbins commits to transparent, timely royalty reporting and payment in accordance with the Royalties & Payment Policy.
