Publishing Policy
Last Updated: April, 2026
1. Overview
This Publishing Policy governs the terms, standards, and expectations under which Bookbins Private Limited accepts, reviews, and publishes manuscripts submitted by authors. By engaging with our publishing services, authors agree to adhere to this policy.
2. Manuscript Submission
• Manuscripts must be submitted through the official Publish With Us form on our website
• Authors must ensure that submitted works are original, unpublished (unless otherwise discussed), and owned entirely by them
• One submission per author is recommended at a time
• Simultaneous submissions to other publishers should be disclosed upfront
3. Editorial Review Process
Every manuscript submitted undergoes an internal editorial and market feasibility review:
• Review Timeline: Typically 2–4 weeks from submission
• Authors will be notified of acceptance or decline
• Detailed feedback on rejected manuscripts may not always be provided due to volume
• Acceptance is not guaranteed based on submission alone
4. Content Standards
Bookbins does not accept manuscripts that:
• Contain plagiarized content or infringe intellectual property rights
• Promote hate speech, discrimination, or illegal activities
• Contain defamatory, obscene, or harmful content
• Misrepresent facts, data, or public figures without appropriate context
We reserve the right to decline any manuscript that does not align with our editorial standards or ethical guidelines.
5. Publishing Process
Upon acceptance, the publishing process typically includes:
1. Agreement signing and onboarding
2. Manuscript editing (developmental, copy, and/or proofreading)
3. Interior formatting and layout design
4. Cover design and artwork
5. ISBN allocation (where applicable)
6. Print and/or digital file production
7. Distribution and listing on relevant platforms
Timelines will be shared and agreed upon at the onboarding stage.
6. Rights & Copyright
• Authors retain full copyright over their work unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing
• Bookbins is granted a limited, non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and promote the work as per the agreed publishing model
• Rights and exclusivity periods are clearly defined in the individual Publishing Agreement
• Bookbins does not claim ownership of the author's intellectual property
7. Publishing Models
Bookbins offers the following publishing models:
• Traditional Publishing: Bookbins bears production costs; author receives royalties
• Hybrid Publishing: Costs are shared; author retains greater control and higher royalties
• Custom Publishing: Tailored solutions based on author requirements
The applicable model, costs (if any), and royalty structure are transparently communicated and documented before commencement.
9. Policy Modifications
Bookbins reserves the right to amend this Publishing Policy at any time. Authors will be notified of significant changes. Continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
